Cow

Mom searched for the thinnest thread in her sewing box,  carefully skewered a needle and tied a knot at the end of the thread. The poor cow was in her hands, mom had to sew with all care, and Cow has been our faithful companion for many years and deserves the best care that we can give it...

Cow came to me in a box, accompanied by a greeting card that said: Happy Birthday Bubu!. It travelled from China to the United States, where dad bought it for me and then it traveled to Mexico to celebrate one of my first birthdays and since then it has always been with me when I've been in hospitals, with fear and It was with me also when we moved to the United States.

Cow is that faithful friend who stays with you if you are happy or not, it always was my favorite toy, I did not allow anyone else to play with it, I was always careful to be sure it was with me before going to sleep, however, when Champy arrived to our family, he needed much more the security of cow so it began to take care of him at the same way it had done with me, because there was nobody better than Cow!.

Champy was playing with cow the other day in the morning, when cow’s body  started to falling on the floor as snowflakes, Champy didn't want to hurt it, they were having fun!, but Cow had a hole in its back where its bowels were leaking like stars in the sky.

Mom began to collect the fragments and put them carefully in the hole and pick up cow until she had time to perform surgery that allows Cow continues to be our best friend.

It is not the first time that cow undergoes a surgery, but each one means a greater risk, even though cow never loses it smile and its eyes never cease to look at us with sweetness.

Mom found the best place to start sewing, and carefully routed around the filling, when she was done with the largest hole, worked with a couple more small holes, but Cow is ready again to continue to accompany us during the difficult days, at the best and during rainy afternoons.  Some friends are forever!.
