If I could put a
smell to life, I would say that it smells like Lavender. I know that everyone
thought I would say carrot, but that is the smell of happiness. I like it when
mom prunes the lavender at the garden. Their hands are impregnated when she takes
me home, so I can smell it for a while. It smells strong, but it is relaxing.
I like the smell
of wet grass. And I like the smell of the chicken when is cooking with rice,
and nothing better than fresh carrots!
Dogs have about
220 million olfactory receptors, while humans have only 5 million. A big
difference, that's why we smell to communicate, and even, we can recognize when
people suffer from some diseases even before that doctors notice them.
In my case, even
if I don’t see other dogs around me when
I go for a walk, I can smell and sometimes I try to run after them, I don't
need to see them to know they are there, enjoying the days of spring, perceive
them through my nose and that gives me a trail to follow.
I like to run because
a tide of smells gets my nose. I have not run after cars a long time ago, but I
still enjoy running a little while I play with my leash. I try to follow Champy
who is not so patient with my slow motion, but I want to walk and enjoy everything, and my
feet still fail to detect what's under them. But little by little I am refining
the technique.
What smell would you put to peace?, and the hope?
