Happy Easter!

During the weekend we paint several eggs with very shinny colors. Mom carefully cleaned eggshells for several days because we wanted an ornament on the dining room table, usually the eggs must be boiled but they do not last long time to room temperature, so we used eggshells.

When we finished painting all the eggs, Mom brought from my bedroom a Bunny that my Grandma from Mexico gave us many years ago, which takes care of me during the evening. Our ornament is very nice but then I asked Champy was that idea of an Easter Bunny, because in Mexico we do not have something like this.

Champy said he wasn't sure, only he could tell me that it is a rabbit who brings candy to children and which is related to the spring. When I asked daddy, he said there is certainly a story that explains everything, so today we look for in Google and we found the story of the Easter Bunny:

Also referred as Bunny spring here in the United States and according to the legend, brings baskets filled with eggs for colors and candy to children.

It was mentioned by first time in the work of Georg Franck von Frankenau entitled about Easter eggs which refers to an Alsace tradition of a hare which brings Easter eggs.

The legend says that when Jesus´s body was put in his grave, there was inside the cave a Bunny hidden, but It was very scared and looked like everyone cried to see Jesus dead. Bunny stayed there very attentive to that body that even inert, attracted so much attention, and watched how it was put the stone that covered that body, but even then the bunny stayed there looking at that body, until something amazing happened!, Jesus stood up and folded the sheets that had covered his body and then Bunny understood that that person was the son of God, and when he came out of his surprise, Bunny  decided to tell to the world that there was not need of crying, because Jesus had risen.

The issue is that as well as the Champys and the Bubus, rabbits cannot speak, so it occurred to him that if people look a painted egg, everyone would understand that message as something cheerful and full of life and so did.

That is why each Easter Sunday Bunny leaves colorful eggs  in all houses to remind the world that Jesus was resurrected and we should live happy.

This is what we learned and is not very different from our joy representing for all know Jesus in the hearts of the people who believe in it, and filled with joy to the soul.

Happy Easter everyone, wherever You are!
